Those are just a few of the NEW much anticipated Vera Bradley Summer 2012 and Spring 2012 released colors. As for the NEW items… well they are just as cute! Lucky me, I get to show you TWO items from the NEW Vera Bradley Summer 2012 Line!!
First off, when is the last time you were using your flat iron just minutes before you ran out the door? If you are like me, it’s all the time! Often, the last thing I do before I leave the house is straighten my hair… and it is impossible to pack up my straightener when it is hot, hot, hot! Well, Vera Bradley has a bag for that!

The perfectly sized bag (5 1/4" x 12 3/4") fits my flat iron inside, even when the clamps are wide open. It can fit two heat tools, but it is a tight fit. My flat iron goes in the inside heat resistant pocket, and the cord/plug can be wrapped up to go on the outside elastic front slip pocket. It protects from heat, and keeps my cords organized during travel!

Although I was afraid of ruining my beautiful bag, I tested the bag for the purposes of the review. And sure enough! I can put the flat iron inside the heat-resistant lined sleeve when it is still hot – right after pulling the plug from the wall – without any worry! The bag does feel a little hot, but nothing I was worried about. I even packed it away in my suitcase when it was still hot – and when I got to the hotel, my clothes and other contents were all just fine!
As a flight attendant, I am constantly packing and re-packing my bags. Now the Straighten Up and Curl bag is being packed and re-packed with me! It is great for when I am getting ready at the last minute and need to pack my hot tools fast and get out the door! I love this new flat iron storage bag!

The second bag I just adore from the NEW Vera Bradley Summer 2012 line is the Frame Bag. I also got this bag in the Lime’s Up design. The design is so adorable – it is a mix of two greens – lime green and light green, turquoise-blue, deep yellow, black and white. It has swirly flowers on it, and is a little retro and a lot girly! The Frame Bag looks amazing in the Lime’s Up design!

This bag is the perfect sized shoulder bag – 13" x 10" x 4" with 9" strap drop. It is a light-weight, sturdy handbag that is in the frame-style. What that means, is it is a classic look, hard bottom and top edge but soft everywhere else.

I love this bag. It is not too big or bulky, it is just right. It fits everything I need and still has room for more! You will be shocked by how much space this cutesy bag has! In my Frame Bag you’ll find: VB clutch wallet, small makeup bag, daily planner, smart phone, small journal, lip gloss, keys, lotion, pens, etc. 
It is smaller than a tote or a shoulder bag but bigger than a hand purse. You can throw this over your shoulder and your bag won’t look like it is eating you alive! While I do love tote bags, sometimes they are just too big. 
I feel like they take the attention of a cute outfit – because they overtake the outfit!

The bag has rolled handles that are soft and fit nicely on my shoulders. They rest just right one my side and don’t fall off. The magnetic “pull tab” closures are so convenient for easy opening. I can have it on my shoulder and open it at the same time.
Pockets galore! Two on the outside of the purse – large enough for items you want to keep handy – keys, smart phone, lip gloss. Even more when you open up the purse! There are three inside pockets on one side that are open-easy-access pockets. On the other side there is a zipper closure pocket, for items you want to stay put. The bottom is hard and sturdy. The purse has a nice frame, to keep this bag looking sharp for a long time.
