Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
It claims “Liquid Gold” but is it really?
When I first heard of the name Liquid Gold for a wood cleaner, I thought to myself, “Well, doesn’t this company have an ego!” That was before using this product to preserve and clean all of my wood furniture!
Scott’s Liquid Gold cleaner penetrates the surface of wood to draw out set in dirt and grime! It restores the wood’s natural beauty – the wood grain while enhancing the color and the shine. It covers nicks, scratches, and water damage!
Scott’s liquid Gold is great for almost anything made of wood! It can be used on natural wood furniture, kitchen cabinets, paneling, doors, decorative trim… really whatever wood you’ve got, you can use this on!
I was excited to use Scott’s blend of natural organic oils on my kitchen cabinets. I have a feeling I will be using it often on my white cabinets, because well, they are white and I want to keep them that way!
Actually, beyond wood, many Scott’s Liquid Gold fans use this product on stainless steel, squeaky hinges, bicycle chains, window screens, tools, metal surfaces, leather boots and even to rejuvenate antiques!
And now that I have been testing a canister of my own, I remembered seeing an older version of this product in my mother’s cleaning cupboard! I think I’ve seen one in my mother-in-laws too, but can’t quite be sure, next time I am over at her house, I’ll be a little better at snooping.
Anyway, it is no wonder I have seen this product around. It has been around! Since 1951 in fact, when it was first made in a garage in Denver! While the bottle has changed a bit, the product and the manufacturer in the USA hasn’t! It has been time tested for years and years!
You can find Scott’s Liquid Gold in most grocery and discount stores, including Wal-Mart and Lowes. The 10 oz. aerosol canister’s approximate retail is$5.99. For more information, visit www.scottsliquidgold.com
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
