It’s hard for me to keep a straight face as I write this blog post. I just got done taking photos of my dog, minutes after redecorating our family room, by adding a Mohawk SmartStrand bound carpet. She was hilarious as I introduced the new carpet addition to our home.

When I first laid out the SmartStrand from Mohawk, I could tell she was a little suspicious. Like, “Mom, what is this new material on our hardwood floors?” and then, “Mom am I allowed on this new thing, or will I get in trouble?”

She didn’t know what to think about this carpet – an unknown territory. She usually waits for permission before exploring. She was so good. She stayed on her bed until I tapped my hand on the soft strands of the carpet, which meant “come” in dog language.

“Really? This is allowed?’’

She was super curious about the carpet. She kept sniffing it, and looking up at me!

Alright, I know what you might be thinking, “You are going to invite your dog to play on that brand new white carpet?” You probably think I am crazy, and that my carpet won’t ever look that new again…
