Disclosure: I was sent Dayspring Letterpress blocks for this review.
When I was asked to review the Dayspring Letterpress blocks by {in}courage, I was thrilled. I have worked with this inspiring, uplifting and faith-filled company in the past and have always been impressed with their products quality and uniqueness.
Letterpress blocks are a fantastic new addition to the Dayspring product catalog. They have the potential to be anything you want them to be! Basically they are 4”-8” blocks of letters, numbers and symbols that you uniquely select to make the word(s) of your choice.
Here are some Letter Press Block examples:
As you can see the possibilities are endless to make your letterpress blocks unique to you.
Words like “family”, “grace”, “joy”, “happiness”, “friendship”, “welcome” or your favorite bible verses or important dates… there are so many options for creating these wooden signs!
Create it!
Creating the Letterpress blocks is so easy with Dayspring! First go to the Building Your Own Words Interface. Once you decide what you want your word(s) to be, choose the letters and place them in the digital workspace. Dragging them in the workspace allows you to see what it will look like before you order.
You can play around with different letter sizes and fun symbols.
When you are happy with your unique design, you can “share your word” on social media if you’d like – or just go straight to check out!
Build it!
I must say, I received the letters in just a few short days! They were neatly packaged in little boxes and wrapped in layers of protective paper. Everything came in tip-top condition. The letters were gorgeous!
(1) First make sure you received the correct letters and sizes.
(2) Next, line up the letters face-down, spelling out your word.
(3) Take the provided clasps and connect the letters together. Remember to get creative! You can make the letters set perfectly in-line or adjust them so they are scattered.
(4) Make sure the clasps hold the letters tight to each other. You might have to adjust the spacing. I put 2 clasps between each letter.
(5) Once all the of letters are connected, flip it over to display your word! Now get ready to hang it somewhere where you can show it off. It is a great conversation piece!
Display it!
I decided to display my word, “forgiven” in our family room. It is the center of our home. Between the family room and the kitchen, we spend nearly all our waking hours in these rooms.
So why did I choose “Forgiven” as my word?
Struggling with forgiving others doesn’t come easy for me. It is hard for me to forgive – and that is an understatement. It is a constant battle for me to really, really, really truly forgive. Sometimes I’ve tricked myself in the past, saying I have forgiven, but really knowing I haven’t. Not being able to forgive grinds at happiness and love in my life.
Not being able to forgive (easily, quickly, gracefully) is something I am working on. It is a struggle that I am not proud of, especially since I know God and know all the things he has forgiven me for.
That is why I decided on the word “Forgiven” instead of forgive or forgiveness.
I opted for “Forgiven” because I can forgive because I have been forgiven.
To me, there is a higher power than myself to help me forgive. As much as I battle to forgive others, it is hard to do on my own. But when I know that God has forgiven so much in my life, I hope that it becomes easier for me to also forgive.
I love that this word is a frequent reminder that I should forgive more gracefully, more frequently and more easily. It is a reminder about how much I have been forgiven.
