I don’t consider myself very tech savvy. I am not really aware of the up and coming technology, nor do I understand what the statistics mean on a product. All the numbers and letters jumbled together don’t phase me. I never judge a product by a price, but I do judge a product by my experienced results. When reviewing a product like headphones, I look for sound quality, overall quality, functionality and more. After listening to SOL REPUBLIC for the first time, I noticed a big difference.

Okay, I said I am not technical, but I know the techy facts are important too, so here they are:
My Take
First, I took out the multiple options of earbud tips (XS – L) and chose the one that fit my ear the best. Once I got the size just right, I noticed they fit perfectly in my ear and didn’t pop out as I moved around from room to room. I was able to do chores around the house with my earbuds in. This was much more convenient than bulky headphones on my head. I wore the earbuds for hours and didn’t experience any pain. They are truly designed differently and are more comfortable than ear buds I’ve tested in the past.
I tucked my music player in my pocket and put the cord under my shirt. The cord didn’t get in my way as I breezed through the house in a cleaning frenzy. Speaking of the cord, it is flattened, which means it doesn’t get tangles like the standard headphone cords… it’s amazing!!
I loved having the volume button right on the cord. I didn’t need to pull my iPhone out if I wanted to turn up/down a song. It was right there on the cord for easy access. One of my favorite things about this control on the cord is that I could stop the music, and have a conversation with my mom on my phone thanks to the built in microphone. After the conversation was over, I can switch my phone back to music and not even stop what I am doing. Gotta love technology!
Overall, I love the angled design – they stay in place, are so comfortable and are the ONLY earbuds I can wear for hours on end. These SOL in-ear headphones have both a professional look and sound – I HIGHLY recommend them!
