Soft, delicate, stunning… I feel like I am holding a piece of heaven in my hands. Honestly, I said heaven. I am holding the most gorgeous hand warmer gloves from Shokay – I just got them in the mail. I can’t stop caressing them!
Made from 100% Yak this fabric is compared to cashmere, if not softer!! The luxury “yak down” is hand combed from yaks in the pristine Himalayan regions of China! Shokay gets the fiber directly from Tibetan herders, which enables these people to earn a sustainable income. I have never owned 
anything made from yak, and I must say I am impressed with the soft texture and insulating qualities!
These ‘one of a kind’ gloves just continue to impress me, not only are they uniquely made out of yak, but they are hand knit with a special touch. The tag on the gloves name the knitter who made my gloves! My hand warmer gloves were knitted by Mei Juan Shi and I can even look at her profile biography online! One of my favorite items is the tafetta shawl, hand knit from yak down. It is priced at $250 and is completely gorgeous – perfect for any autumn outfit. Being the girly girly that I am, I’m obsessed with the little rose embellishments …so cute …so feminine!
