Game nights are my favorite! Spending time together playing cards or a board game is one of the most memorable activities a family can do. There is incredible bonding that happens when a family gets together and enjoys a game night together. A family that plays together stays together!
You might know that I just love games, that’s why when I was told I could review a new game by Marina Games called Skunked, I was stoked!
Skunked is a pretty simple, easy to catch on game (Ages 8+). It contains 128 small poker chips, 2 dice and the instruction manual. The object of the game is to accumulate a score of 100 points or more before any other player and to have the most tokens at the end of 3 rounds.
How this works is you roll the dice and attempt to get the highest score you can without rolling a 1. Each person rolls the dice and adds their numbers. With each roll you pay in a chip and you decide to stop or continue rolling. BUT if you roll a 1 you loose your turn, have to pay another chip and lose your total for that turn. If you roll double ones, you loose all your points that you made so far in the game – you grand total drops back to ZERO. The winner gets all the chips in the pot.
In this game you takes risks, which I like! There isn’t too much strategy…if any! So it is easy to play this game with those of all ages. It is a good way to help kids math skills and it is pretty basic so they can easily feel confident in playing a game.
I love games when I travel, and this game is no exception! This is a fantastic travel game – for the car or plane. The box is small in size, it can fit in your hand – toss it in your day bag or purse!
You can purchase Skunked online at Amazon for only $9.99. And join Marina Games on Facebook &Twitter!!
