I hate to admit it, but at first I had very little confidence in this tiny, ity-bity, shrimp of a speaker. Literally I had no clue what I was in for! But now I can tell you, this little speaker BLASTS!
I received the X-mini® v1.1 Capsule Speaker™ to review, and I am amazed! This little guy is my new favorite electronic! I’ve been taking it everywhere, it’s incredibly mobile!
Let’s talk about it’s portability… the speaker is only 2.5 inches x 2 inches! Therefore the X-mini can fit in your purse, backpack or even in your pocket! This has been handy in so many ways! It is light and easy to travel with. It can conveniently move from room to room and it doesn’t hog an entire shelf! I love this!
Being small has it’s advantages, but does it hold up to the volume test? Simply put – yes. Although it is not the best for really bass-based songs, it does pump minimal bass well. I also did notice some songs seem a little scratchy at high volume as well. But seeing as I don’t listen to too much bass in my music (I am a country gal), this speaker kicked butt!
These must-have small speakers expand from a ball shape into a mini accordion, allowing the volume to be magnified! The accordion shape is similar to a sub-woofer providing full-bodied sound quality for up to six hours.
But my favorite feature of all? Is one that I unfortunately haven’t tested out myself (it requires 2 or more of these babies) – is the “buddy jack.” This feature allows multiple speakers to hook up together.
Multiple mini speakers connected together (by the cord provided) enable an endless “daisy chain” of superb audio effect with advanced sound! That way you can listen to the music louder and it is better for a group settings! I do envision purchasing a least one other speaker so I can do this too!
I really love this speaker, I can’t wait to get more. I HIGHLY recommend it as a stocking stuffer this season!
