Getting the recommended fruits and vegetables per day is no simple task. I constantly struggle with getting my daily fruit and vegetables. But one way that I am improving on this is by making myself a green smoothie for breakfast or lunch.
I find that this tropical greens smoothie helps me get a few of the servings I need. It is quick, easy and satisfying. It is great for a busy schedule!
This green smoothie is creamy, delicious, has no added sugar, is gluten free, soy free and dairy free. I used almond milk, but if you are nut free – just substitute for rice or soy milk.
I love that this smoothie is sweet because of the ripe banana and mango, but it also has a handful of rich, antioxidant greens. Sometimes I use kale and other days I’ll use spinach. Both leafy greens are great in this smoothie, just go with what you have on hand!
