This weekend was chocked full of fun! First of all, we got to hang out with my little sister in law (she was grounded all weekend and her parents were out of town – so I guess she was required to stay with us). Just kidding, I am pretty sure she likes us 🙂 We forced her to do errands with us, including checking out some newly built neighborhoods we are considering moving into.
We got an early start in the day, so our first stop was Jamba Juice.
Did you know that only 1 percent of adults and 2 percent of kids meet both the fruit and veggie recommendations each day? I know it is crazy. I am sure on most days I fall into that category too. Well, we did what we could to fulfill our recommended fruit and vegetable count by getting some full servings at Jamba Juice!
I ordered the new Jamba Juice Tropical Harvestâ„¢ which has two full servings of fruits and one full serving of veggies in a single smoothie! These new(ish) fruit and veggie drinks are nutrient-packed and delicious. While I was a little nervous to order the new beverage, I was reassured enthusiastically by the cashier at Jamba Juice that it was “really good“!
The Jamba Juice Tropical Harvestâ„¢ is low in calories (230 calories), is gluten and dairy free and has no added sugar. I was afraid it was going to be really vegetable tasting because of the ingredients – mangos, peaches, butternut squash, sweet potato and carrot! That is a lot of orange! When actually, it was perfect – not too sweet or tart, just amazing! And all those fruits and veggies mean that it is an excellent source of Vitamins – including A and C!
My hubby and sister in law ordered their regular favorites, and we all shared a couple sips of each others. While I do like my favorites that I have from Jamba Juice, I am so glad I tried this new drink, and are now more open to trying new flavors – this one is being added to my regularly ordered beverages from Jamba Juice!
