We go through stain remover about as fast as you can say “laundry soap”! We need stain treatment products that work well to remove greasy stains and treat oily stains. We are always getting bacon grease on our clothing! Ah… the one and only downside of bacon. 🙂
That, along with wine stains, dirt stains and who-knows-where-this-stain came from stains!
The latest stain remover that I put to the test is a Purex Laundry Bar called Purex Fels-Naptha. It is a laundry bar that smells fresh and clean, and really worked on removing my canvas shoe stain (which I think was dirt from the garden)!
So here, I am going to share how to use Fels-Naptha to remove stains:
(1) With any stain, you want to make sure to check the fabric tag for any special care instructions. If it is ok to hand wash or launder, then the Fels-Naptha can be used. Don’t use on dry clean only items. Of course, to be extra careful, test on a small spot first.
(2) Take out the Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar.
(3) Wet the Fabric.
(4) Apply the Fels-Naptha Soap to the stain. It may or may not get suds like mine shown. Just make sure to cover the entire stain as you rub back and forth.
(5) Wait 1 minute and let the soap soak into the stain. Wash as normal. *
* Since my shoes were canvas. I hand washed them after using the Fels-Naptha. But if you have other items that can go in the laundry, just throw them in with your normal wash.

Fels-Naptha worked well when I tested it to treat a dirt stain on canvas shoes. The stain came out completely, and the shoe looked like new.
Fels-Naptha is made by Purex and has been a trusted powerful stain remover for over 100 years. It can be used as a stain remover or you can grate it into small shreds and use it as a laundry booster. You can use it to treat dozens of stains (dirt, grease, and more). Purchase Fels-Naptha in the Laundry aisle.
