Today I spent the day at home, catching up on my blog posts. When I got hungry about half way through the day, I opened up the cupboard to find the usual – salty and sweet snack items – I told you I have a weakness for snacks! But then I remembered, I had a healthy lunch in the freezer that I needed to test out! I bought the new Lean Cuisine Honestly Good frozen meal just the other day!
Now, I am not normally a frozen meal girl. They are hard to bring along while I travel. But for the weeks that I am home and blogging, they are perfect! I don’t have to mess up the kitchen or spend a lot of time preparing anything – because I need all the time I can get to do ALL the other stuff with my limited time at home!
Truth be told, I was pretty excited about the Lean Cuisine Honestly Good frozen meals. I was hoping these would be the push I needed to get out of my terrible snacking habits!
So I took my Lean Cuisine Honestly Good frozen meal out of the freezer, ( I got the Pomegranate Chicken) read the package, and followed the directions.
The Pomegranate Chicken Lean Cuisine was a hearty portion of whole white chicken breast, on a bed of whole grain pilaf with currants and came with a side of vegetables – green beans, yellow beans and ribbon carrots. In a separate pouch there was a pomegranate glaze sauce.
The flavors were there, the quality was there and the satisfied appetite was also there! Truthfully, I didn’t feel like I needed to grab a granola bar or handful of chips after. My tummy was was full and happy!
I am the type that doesn’t like wasting a lot of time on lunch. I think that is why I’ve gotten into the habit of skipping lunch and just snacking until dinner. I really appreciated that the Lean Cuisine Honestly Good frozen meal was easy – but not some salty snack. They are hearty and have all-natural ingredients. After trying my first one, I felt satisfied and had no craving for a snacks, I wasn’t even hungry until dinner!
I can definitely see these being stocked in our freezer, they are great for my husband to snag on his way to work, and they are perfect for me to stop my snacking habit! When we have a late night and making dinner is just out of the question, these are satisfying enough to have for dinner too. I’ll tell you one thing, these are not your average frozen meals!
