THE PINK STUFF
I hear Pepto-Bismol, and the first thing that comes to my mind is the snappy little jingle: “Nausea, heartburn, indigestion. Upset stomach, diarrhea.” You know what I am talking about – The Pink Stuff! After the song though, the second thing I think of is how well it actually works for my tummy aches.
Pepto Bismol has been my savior multiple times when I’ve ate a little too much. It really works wonders. I am most familiar with the original formula, the thick pink liquid, but to my surprise Pepto-Bismol is made in 
chewable tablets and swallow caplets as well. This is so helpful to know – chewable tablets are so handy for travel! I can keep them in my purse or put them in my pocket for a day at the ball game, out on the boat or any long or short trip away from home (aka away from the medicine cabinet!). Quite handy!.
A cool fact: A few months back I heard about Pepto Bismol in the news. The rescue teams feed it to the birds that were affected by the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Disaster!! It was force feed to these animals in case the birds swallowed oil. The Pepto-Bismol helped their upset stomachs and cleared their intestinal track. Pretty neat it works for humans and birds alike! I love this story and I am happy to hear it helped the birds that were affected by this tragic event.
