Houston, we have a problem… dog hair!
Hair, hair, hair everywhere! Something needs to be done to rid our house of the constant balls of white fur – on the couch, beds, carpet, rugs – EVERYWHERE! And unless I vacuum daily, I cannot seem to control it! But being realistic, I know this is not an option anyway. We have tried multiple ways to solve the dog shedding problem over the past 2 years. . .
We’ve tried brushing her with a standard dog brush/comb purchased from the pet store. This worked okay. We’ve taken her in to get groomed. This worked better, but was expensive… and didn’t last more than a week or so. Finally, when we felt as if we were destined to have a hairy home, the FURminator was recommended to us. The Medium brush for long hair dogs is meant for dogs that are 21-50 lbs who have coats longer than 2”. This tool was perfect for my medium sized dog. If you have a smaller or bigger pet, they have several tools based on size and hair length.
So far, I have brushed my dog 2 times this week, and have noticed a difference in the loose hair around the house. The FURminator seems to work really well at picking up the shedding hair (that would normally have been on my couch!). 
The Long Hair deShedding Tools for Dogs features patented stainless steel deShedding edges, that are designed to brush beneath the long topcoat to gently remove undercoat and loose hair. I could tell this was the case, since the tool had mainly white hair on it when I was done brushing (her top coat is brown/black).
She was very patient when I brushed her, so I know she wasn’t uncomfortable. When I have used a standard brush, sometimes she is bothered and edgy.
With just a few strokes, I was taking off handfuls of hair. Gross – but exciting! And the FURejection button takes the hair right off the tool, so I don’t have to even touch it! After we were done we had a HUGE pile of dog hair to show!

Overall, I found the FURminator to be an easy-to-use, fast way to get rid of loose hair and in the end – a time and money-saving product!
