Football season is like no other time of the year. It is when every weekend we gather with our best friends to watch the greatest sport in America! For the past several years, we have had season tickets with our friends for the Colorado Buffaloes football games.
You just can’t beat Folsom Field on a gorgeous sunny day.
Whether we are tailgating for a college football game, going to a party for a Broncos game, or hosting friends in our living room for a Cowboys or Seahawks game… there is always great friends, loads of fun and plenty of food. I love football season!
It has become our tradition to tailgate before CU home games. We have a spot that we call “ours”, sometimes we bring the “broncos bus”, sometimes we just have a grill, throw on some meat and call it good.
Tailgating before the event makes the day even better. We get a chance to catch up with our friends while enjoying food and beverages before heading to the stadium. It is something we all look forward to.
This past weekend, planning the tailgate was easier than ever thanks to Walmart To Go. Walmart ToGo provided us with a gift card to use to purchase food and supplies for our tailgate in exchange for testing out their delivery services.
Look at all the delicious food!
Since it was an early game, we decided to do a breakfast tailgate, which is different than our traditional night game tailgates of burgers and bratwursts.
We enjoyed donuts, muffins, scones, fruit, sausage, bacon and breakfast burritos. It was quite the spread. We ordered all of the food and toppings from Walmart’s delivery service. It is so easy to choose the food online, and have it delivered or in-store pick up!
All we had to do was load it in a cooler and pack it in the car!
Using Colorado’s Walmart To Go services is quite easy, and it simplifies the process of shopping for a party. Making a virtual shopping list and getting the food sent to my door saved time and the hassle of shopping in store. It’s an instant #PartyToGo!
It kept me more organized too. This might have been the first tailgate event we didn’t forget something! Party success!
Oh, and how cute is my husband in his Colorado Buffaloes apron?
He was the head tailgate chef. He cooked us a variety of meats, veggies and eggs for the breakfast burritos. It was a delicious spread, and everyone got to make their own unique burritos based on their individual food preferences!
Of course what is a tailgate without some games too? There is always a football to throw around and backyard games. That way, when we finish our food, we entertain ourselves until the game starts.
The thing I didn’t know is you can also order toys and games from Walmart to-go. You might not be able to get specific Colorado games, but there are balls, outdoor supplies, prizes… all sorts of stuff. A lot of what you find at Walmart can be shipped to your door using the to-go service.
You can even order sunscreen (which you don’t want to forget for a 4 hour football game!)
Overall, if you are a Colorado resident (or in any of the other states that have WalMart To Go), it is a must if you want to make your life easier when planning an event. Whether larger or small, the to-go service from WalMart makes party planning a breeze.
Well, we didn’t win the game, but there is always next week for more good food, loads of fun, great friends and football! Go Buffs!
