I am a Pumpkin Pie kind of a girl. My husband prefers Apple Pie (he says he's more American than me because of it). While there might be lots of pie in your life for the holidays, it doesn't have to end there. You can enjoy great homestyle, easy to bake and create pies all year round with Mrs. Smiths pies. The selection is wonderful, and best of all they are all pre-made – you just have to bake them!
Mrs. Smith's Signature Deep Dish pies come in a few varieties including Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce, Signature Deep DishCherry Pie with Butter Fudge Sauce, Signature Deep Dish Peach Pie with Cream Cheese Icing and Signature Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing. I found 3 of the deep dish 4 pie flavors at my closest Wal-Mart. Wal-mart also had a large selection of the Mrs. Smith's orginal pies too.
We picked up the pies, put them in the freezer and then tasted our first Mrs. Smiths pie just the other night. We were having friends over for game night and were serving appetizers and thought a pie would be a great touch towards the end of the night when everyone's sweet tooth starts to kick in. It hardly took any time away from the group and games to read the quick step-by-step instructions (seven steps total) on the Mrs. Smith box and put the pie in the oven. Just a few toppings later (a delicious golden brown sugar streusel and a carmel sauce!) and we had one amazing looking pie!
The total time for the pie was just over an hour. This includes adding the toppings, waiting for the oven to preheat and serving it out! We served it directly out of the oven with a side of vanilla ice cream – just the way it should be! Our friends had raving reviews about the deep dish pie. It recieved lots of praise and interest in general of the Mrs. Smith brand. The Apple Pie was a perfect blend of cinammon, fruit all within a real-butter crust! You can tell from the after math that the pie was well-liked!
