Disclosure: Since we have an on-the-go lifestyle, we were thrilled to review some products on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for G-Project. I received a G-Go and G-Zip to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own.
We are BIG on adventure. So the Summer is a busy time for us: camping, sailing, hiking, biking, 4×4 wheeling and exploring! Sometimes all in the same weekend! We figure, the weather is nice for a reason, right? Why not enjoy it to the fullest!
Speaking of adventures, during the 4th of July weekend we had friends visit from Seattle. We wanted to show them all that Colorado had to offer and took advantage of some of our favorite Summer activities.
After spending a day in the city, we headed to the Colorado Rocky Mountains and partook in a more rugged lifestyle. We showed them around the land on 4-wheelers. It was their first time, and they loved it! We also did a half day of rafting the Arkansas River (we did 3 and 4 rapids in case you were wondering). The rapids weren’t too overwhelming though because it was a little later in the season. Thank goodness because we had a screamer in the group!
We had an awesome time with them, full of fun adventures and fun. And when we dropped our friends off at the airport late Sunday night, they were 100% pooped! Just the result we were looking for!
Since we like to be on-the-go, it is necessary we have products that fit that lifestyle too. That is why we love the G-Project products we have – they are speakers that are rough and tough. They are great on adventures!
About the G-ZIP and the G-GO
The G-ZIP is a small, lightweight speaker that fits into your hand! It is great on the go, and because of the rugged protective materials, it can easily be tossed in a backpack without a worry of being damaged. It has a convenient retractable cord, so it doesn’t get all tangled with anything else in your backpack. The G-ZIP plays off of a 3.5mm headphone jack, so I just attach my phone or iPod to that, and we’ve got tunes! G-ZIP has a built-in, lithium-ion rechargeable battery that lasts up to 8 hours and charges through a USB port.
G-ZIP is available for $19.99 on Amazon.com
The G-GO is a Bluetooth wireless, water-resistant, and rugged portable speaker. G-GO can be powered with 4 AA replaceable batteries with up to 8 hours of play time, which is ever so hand when you don’t have a plug in! It also can be used with the AC wall power and when doing so, it can charge your device too! G-GO is compatible with iPad Tablets, iPod Digital Music Players, iPhone Cell Phones, Android Phones, and other Bluetooth Devices.
G-Go is available for $69.99 on Amazon.com
How G-PROJECT Fits into My Life
The G-ZIP is small and compact, making it great for a hike and picnic. It takes up little room in my pack, and doesn’t add a lot of weight. The G-GO is awesome because it is the only speaker I have that runs on battery. Sometimes there is no plug in around (like camping) so this is ideal in those times. I also am impresses that it can handle water – the shower, the beach, the lake – no worries!
These speakers are both built well and can handle bumps, bruises, and splashes of water. I don’t have to worry about being extra careful with them! Both speakers are handy for our active outdoor lifestyle, especially great for Summer activities! We could have even taken the G-GO with us rafting on the river! How cool is that?
With the G-GO, I’ve got some great ideas for use in the future. Doesn’t a river float with a cooler behind us and the G-GO rocking our favorite country music sound pretty amazing?
Well, it’s happening. And you’re invited.
